An early-morning altercation left a 41-year-old with a slash wound last week in Jersey City, authorities said. Police responded to Jersey City Medical Center on Thursday morning and met with the victim, who had been slashed on the neck and upper chest, Jersey City spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said. The incident appeared to be the result of an argument between the victim and another man in the area of 16th Street around 5:30 a.m., Wallace-Scalcione said.
